The last step in online applications involves taking a print out of the submitted form and sending it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the printed application.

Jobs/Home: Contains a list of published and not yet closed jobs. Applicants are required to click on a particular job to start/resume applying for a particular job. Online procedure is describe below. For applying offline, download the form, fill the details and send it to the following address (The Registrar, Administration Section, IIT BOMBAY, Powai,Mumbai, MAHARASHTRA – 400076, INDIA )
My Applications: (only for logged in user) shows current status of jobs applied for. Jobs are categorized in four stages depending on the state the application is in.
Submitted: The application has been submitted and processing will be done by IIT after the job end date. All updates during processing the application will be reflected in the ‘remarks’ column. IMP: Applications need to be submitted before job end date or else the application will be deemed null and void.
Completed: Fees has been paid but applicant has not submitted the application.. Such an application is still deemed not valid for processing.
Frozen: Application has been frozen and cannot be modified. Fees need to be paid to proceed.
Draft: Application can be modified any time before the job end date.

Application Process:
** Applicant logs in/registers via IIT Bombay’s Central Registration Portal (CRP).
** Clicks at the desired job on the Advertisement page.
** ERS attempts to check and confirm whether the applicant is an existing IIT Bombay employee.
** Next information about ‘actual birth category’, desired ‘application birth category’, special quota and ‘essential qualification requirement for job’, as applicable for the applicant is captured for the purpose of screening of applications.
** After meeting the eligibility criterion for the job, applicant is allowed to fill a series of forms regarding personal information, qualification, employment record and upload of scanned photo, signature and other required documents. Note the constraints on file type/size on respective pages.
** After entering information, applicant has to freeze the entries following which he is not allowed to make changes in the application. Prior to freezing applicants may freely update application data (before job end date). To resume updating at a later point of time, the applicant needs to go to the ‘My Applications’ page and select the job application to modify.
** Some applicants may require to pay application fee. In such cases the applicant shall be diverted to fee payment page. Current payment modes are- Online payment or payment by demand draft (DD). For DD payments, please enter DD details at the appropriate page.
** Finally, the applicant is required to submit his application after duly signing it.
** The last step involves taking a print out of the submitted form and sending it to the address mentioned on the printed application.
** The print out will have an application-id which should be used by the applicant for future reference.
** To find the status of a submitted application, an applicant may visit ‘My Application’ page and see the remarks column associated with the application-id mentioned at #10.
