Udisha :
Udisha is the Nation-Wide training component of the World Bank Assisted Women and Child Development, which is Centrally Sponsored by Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).

This is a natural initiative for quality improvement in training of child care workers and to bring improvement in the quality of early childhood care for survival, growth and development.
This scheme seeks to address the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children by promoting convergence of actions in the areas of health, nutrition, early learning and better parenting. This scheme also put focus on the health and nutrition status of Adolescent Girls.
In the State of Arunachal Pradesh, there are five Anganwadi Training Centres at Itanagar, Bomdila, Roing, Tezu & Along and one Middle Level Training Centre at Itanagar. Under this Scheme, various training programmes like Job Training, Orientation Training, Refresher Training, etc. are imparted to the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) field functionaries in order to deliver letter services at the Anganwadi Centres for all round development of the vulnerable children of the State. The 2006-07 is the terminal year for this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria : Children and adolescent girls of the State are come under this scheme
Objectives of the scheme :
The major objectives of this scheme are to,
1. Improve proper nutrition and health care for the children,
2. Proper physical and social development of the child,
3. Maintain nutritional status of the adolescent girls,
4. Provides quality and effective inputs for all-round development of the children and adolescent girls.
The annual budget for implementation of the Scheme during the current financial year 2009-10 is Rs.70.00 lakhs for imparting various training as under to the ICDS Grassroots Level/ Field Functionaries

About Us :
Arunachal Pradesh is not a linguistic state. It is an ethnic state inhabited by colourful tribal people of diverse culture and lifestyle. All of them have their own unique culture and traditions. They also have customary laws and a time tested dispute resolution mechanism.

It is most gratifying to remember that the inhabitants of this tribal state have the spirit of democracy inherent in their traditional laws, which further strengthen by the five fundamental principles for administration of tribal areas.
Area-wise, Arunachal Pradesh is the largest state of the NE region of India. It forms a complex hill system of Shivalik and Himalayan origin and is criss-crossed by numerous rivers and streams.
