Stage Carriage Permit :

Grant Of Stage Carriage Permit :
(Please see Section 70, 71, 72 of M.V. Act 1988)

Application Stage :
** Application Form-35 of KMVR to be submitted to the concerned RTO.
** Fee : Rs.2000/- + Rs.100/- to be paid at RTO Cash counter

** Neat sketch of the route in triplicate with stage to stage distances and all important roads connected to the route in question.
** Time table

Issuing Stage :
** The resolution of RTA/STA
** Documents of the vehicle

Validity of Permit :
** Permit will be issued for five (5) years. To be renewed thereafter.

Renewal Of Stage Carriage Permit :
(See Section 81 of M.V. Act 1988 and See Rule 76 of KMV Rules 1989)
** Application Form 36 KMV
** Fee Rs. 2000/- + Rs.100/-
** Application shall be filed before 15 days expiry of permit.

** Original Permit
** Documents
** No objection certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA/Lease/Hypothecation.

** The resolution of RTA/STA or the order of the court.
** Affidavit (not a Insolvency)
** Permit will be renewed for five (5) years.

Transfer Of Stage Carriage Permit :
(See Section 82 of MV Act 1988 and Rule 82 of KMV Rules 1989)
** Application Form-52 of KMVR
** Fee Rs. 2000/- + Rs.100/-
** Joint affidavit signed by Transferor and Transferee

** Original Permit
** Documents
** If the resolution of RTA/STA or the order of the court.

Transfer Of Permit In Case Of Death Of Permit Holder :
(See rule 83 of KMV Rules 1989)
** Form 53 KMVR
** Fee Rs.100 + Rs.100/-
** Documents

** Death certificate in relation to permit holder , Intimation to the competent authority.
** Legal heir Certificate issued by the competent authority enabling the applicant to succeed to possession of the vehicle and the permit.

** Form-54 of KMVR regarding notice published in news paper
** The resolution of RTA/STA or the order of the court.
** Affidavit by the successor and the consent letter from the Family members.

Variation Of Stage Carriage Permit :
(See Rule 85 of KMV Rules 1989)
Variation for Route (curtailment / extension) and Timings
** Form-36 -A KMVR
** Fee Rs.2000 + RS. 100/-

** Neat sketch of the existing route and the portion related to the variation with stage to stage distances with all the important roads connected to the route in question duly shown in triplicate.

** Statement showing the details of the existing trips and the proposed trips.
** Exiting time table and the proposed time table.

** Original permit
** Documents of the vehicle
** The resolution of RTA/STA or the order of the court.

Duplicate Permit Of Stage Carriage :
(See Rule 84 of KMV Rules 1989)
** Application in a plain paper
** Fee : Rs.1000/- to be paid at RTO Cash counter.

** Affidavit
** Defaced or mutilated or completely written off permit to be surrendered to RTO

Replacement Of Permit :
(See Rule 79 of KMV Rules 1989)
** Form-51 of KMVR.
** Fee Rs. 1000/- + Rs.100/-
** Original permit

** Registration certificate of the existing vehicle and the vehicle proposed for replacing the existing vehicles.
** Certificate from Registering Authority to the effect that the replace vehicle is not covered under any other permit

** Documents of both the vehicles
** Both the vehicle should be in same nature

Change Of Address In Permit :
** Application on Plain paper
** Vehicle address proof

** Original permit
** Documents

Reassignment Of Permit :
** Application on Plain paper
** Reassigned proof of Registration certificate
** Documents
