1. What are the charges for issuing an ILP?
Charges for both online and offline are
Tourist (Provisional) : ₹100 per person
Others : ₹150 per person

2. If I find some bugs or error in the Application, whom should I inform or report?
You can inform the ILP team, find details from the contact us page.

3. While filling up the application form, why does the date of birth show invalid date?
ILP is not required for children below 5 years of age. The application accepts only DD-MM-YYYY (19/10/2015) format and no other characters in words.

4. Why am I not able to upload my photos at times?
Make sure your photo is in .jpg format and and Photo size should be between 30kb and 50kb. For Tourist : ID proof scan copy should be between 50kb and 100kb

5. Why does the asterisk sign(* red) come out when I leave some text box empty?
When you see an asterisk sign (*), it simply means that the user input is required. It is a mandatory field to be entered.

6. When I apply for the ILP online, How do I get the confirmation; if I am unsure, should I submit another application?
You will receive a confirmation SMS stating that your application has been received on successful submission.

7. Can I get information when my ILP is about to expire?
Your ILP card will have the expiry date and also you can check the status of your permit online with your unique application ID or ILP code.

8. Can I create an account for ILP?
Account creation for the applicant is currently not available, applicants can only apply online, check status, make online payment and take printout.

9. What is Provisional ILP?
Provisional ILP is a temporary ILP issued for 30 days to people (Tourist etc) visiting Nagaland. To get a provisional ILP one does not need to visit ILP processing Site/District physically for verification.

Valid photo and ID proof (only PAN card, Aadhar Card or Indian Voter ID) should be uploaded to apply the Provisional ILP.

10. Where can I apply for ILP?
You can apply your ILP from any one of the respective District Administration Office or the Various Nagaland Houses in India or submit the online form through any Citizen Service Centers across the various districts or online from any part of the country (for Provisional ILP).

The Inner Line Permit (ILP) Regulation Act (Section III of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act of 1873) is in operation in the Naga Hill district(Present Nagaland state) since 1873.

It has been promulgated to safeguard the identity and the very existence of the indigenous people of Nagaland from exploitation by outsiders.

The Inner Line Permit is an official travel document issued by the Government of Nagaland to allow inward travel of foreigners and Indian citizens of other states into a protected/restricted area for a limited period.
