Essential points for ordinary citizens in relation to the first information report on e-station :
** The e-First information report can only be filed against the unknown accused. In cases where the accused is known, those cases will not be included in the proceedings of e-station.

** Any person can register e-First Information Report in all cases other than nominated and serious crimes like murder, robbery, rape etc.
** The report which will be lodged at e-station, will be considered as the first information report after it has been approved by the e-station in-charge.

** Information of Approved / Disclaimed will be communicated to the applicant through e-mail / SMS with the facts. If approved, then the copy of the full FIR will be made available in the PDF format by e-mail.

** In order to fill the report form, Mangal font (Unicode) will be used for Hindi language only.
** English language can also be used to fill the report form.

EFIR through Whatsapp :
To register eFIR in unknown accused and non-bailable offenses. While addressing the in-charge of e-station, his complaint was written in plain paper, in which the following information is mandatory

FAQs :
1. Who will fund the last 2 years (out of 5) of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services?
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will provide funds for O&M for a period of three (3) years only. Additional years of O&M will need to be funded by the States/UTs themselves.

2. Will the SDA provide support to the SI during implementation and other phases?
Yes, SDA shall provide Help desk support to the State/UT SIs during customization, deployment and stabilization phases as defined in the SI RFP.

3. Should all higher offices be covered for implementation in phase 1?
Phase 1 should be treated as a pilot phase and approximately 10% of the police stations and higher offices should be covered during this phase.
