Issue Of Ration Card :

Every family residing in the State of Arunachal Pradesh is entitled to a ration card, if eligible as per norms in this regard.

The application for a new ration card should be submitted in the prescribed form along with surrender certificate or deletion certificate from the previous place of residence and a copy of transfer/appointment order through the head of office in case of Govt. employees and through the concerned ASM/ZPM in case of general public. Ration Cards to the consumers are issued by the respective District authority as per Govt. guidelines. The family ration card is issued in the name of head of the family covering all the members of each family after proper verification.

The surrender/deletion certificate will be issued by the authority that issued the ration card within two working days of applying for the same. Issue of new ration card against surrender/deletion certificate will be made by the concerned issuing authorities after confirming the authority of such certificates from the issuing office.

The application should be submitted by the head of the family. Two copies of passport size photographs and proof of residence should also be submitted. As proof of residence, copy of any of the following documents maybe submitted.

Required Documents :
** dentity card issued by the Govt. or Public Sector undertaking.
** Latest telephone bill in the name of the applicant.
** Driving license.
** Voter identity card.
** Extract of electoral roll.

In respect of applicants who do not have any of the above documents, the concerned Inspector of Food & Civil Supplies will conduct local enquiry and prepare a report about the applicant being a bonafide resident or not. The requisite fee for issue of ration card should be paid by the applicant.

In case of loss of ration card, the card holder can apply for a duplicate ration card along with an affidavit about the loss of card. Duplicate card will be issued after due enquiry for which requisite fee should be paid.
