1. Once I apply electronically for registration, would I get an acknowledgement receipt ?
Yes, you would get an acknowledgement receipt from the web portal of the department which will carry a unique transaction number and date.
In addition to that, there will also be a unique code which is required to be used while tracking the status of your application. These numbers should be preserved carefully.
2. How can I generate duplicate acknowledgement receipt?
On web Portal home page, go to left menu and click on “Track your Status” link. Enter Acknowledgement Number and Transaction Id and you will be able to see the receipt details. You can print the duplicate receipt from here.
3. How can I track my e-Registration application Status?
Go to CTD Web Portal -> left menu -> click on “Track Your Status” link and enter the acknowledgement number and transaction id and you’ll be able to see your application status.
4. How will I receive my TIN and Registration Certificate?
TIN : Once your application is approved by the Registration Authority, TIN will be generated and emailed to you on the email id provided in your application. This TIN issuance is purely on provisional basis.
Registration Certificate : Once your documents are submitted to CTD Office and the site visit is conducted and Registration Authority approves, the certificate will be generated and can be collected from the CTD Office.

8. What are the pre-requisites to make e-Payment ?
You need to have valid TIN and an internet banking enabled account in one of the banks as enrolled with CTD.
9. How can I make e-payments ?
** Login to CTD Web Portal using your TIN and Password and click on E-Payments link
** Select the tax for which you want to make the e-payment
** Fill up the challan form
** Select the bank through which you want to make e-Payment using your internet banking account
** You will be taken to the web portal of the selected bank – login using your internet banking credentials and authorize the payment
** You will get instant payment receipt which can then be printed
10. How would I get acknowledgement receipt?
After filling the Form VAT-15/ST-16/P-5/JKPT-8/ET-2, confirm your payment on the portal of selected bank. The Acknowledgement receipt will be generated upon successful completion of payment process on the bank’s portal.
