Universal Account Number Services :

** EPFO introduces a new system to facilitate online submission of transfer claims by Members with an objective to make the transfer process transparent, efficient and comfortable for your employees. You are urged to bring this facility to the notice of all your employees which is available on EPFO’s Member portal.

** A member has an option to submit his claim either through his present employer or the previous one.
** You can see all such claim requests with ease, verify/correct member details, approve and submit the requests online through this portal.
** For online submission of the claims, the Digital signature (Class II or above) of the authorized person is required.
** User name and password for this portal is same which is used in ECR portal by the establishments and accordingly may be used with high diligence.

For Logging in as verifier, Please first create required number of users from main [Employer] login
** View transfer requests from Members.
** No need to send claim papers to EPF Office
** Required number of verifier users and upto 3 authorised signatories can use the facility to verify and approve claim requests, Kyc details and nominations

Process flow for furnishing of details by employers in respect of new members joining the establishment (having previous membership) :

IMPORTANT :
It may please be noted that for new members joining an establishment, there are two possibilities :
** The new member doesn’t have any previous P.F. membership. Such member is to be identified by the employer for allotment of Universal Account Number (UAN) by EPFO.
** The new member has previous P.F. membership which to be link ed

For Possibility (i), the step-wise process is continued as follows :
Step 1 :
For members with first time employment, the employer shall fill Date of Birth, Date of Joining, Father’s/ Spouse

Step 2 :
Select “ OK ” button, if satisfied. If you are not satisfied with the given information, click on “ Cancel ” button.
The subsequent steps would be carried out along with the cases belonging to possibility (ii) as explained

EPFO :
EPFO is one of the World’s largest Social Security Organisations in terms of clientele and the volume of financial transactions undertaken. At present it maintains more than 15 crore accounts pertaining to its members. The Employees’ Provident Fund came into existence with the promulgation of the Employees’ Provident Funds Ordinance on the 15th November, 1951.

It was replaced by the Employees’ Provident Funds Act, 1952. The Employees’ Provident Funds Bill was introduced in the Parliament as Bill Number 15 of the year 1952 as a Bill to provide for the institution of provident funds for employees in factories and other establishments.
