How To Get PCC / PVC?

PCCs are required for various purposes. Depending upon what application you are filing, and to which country, you may need one or both types of PCCs.

Type 1: Regional Passport Office – PCC: This is a clearance that the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) gives you, and you need to apply through the PSK office. This is issued as a stamp in your passport and an accompanying letter stating that there is nothing adverse against you in police records.
Type 2: Commissioner of Police: This is a clearance issued from the office of the Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City Police. This is to state that there is nothing adverse against you and you don’t have/had any legal issues pending against you.

PVC :
Instructions :
** Indian Nationals can apply for PVC at single window counter at Office of the Commissioner of Police, No.1, Infantry Road, Bangalore-560001.
** The applicants can apply in personal/online by filling his/her personal particulars in the prescribed form along with documents
** The applicants must furnish address proof documents for a minimum period of one year from the date of application.
** If the applicant has resided in different addresses within the period of one year, then he/she should furnish all address proofs
** The applicant should give the police station name correctly
** If the applicant is not residing in Bangalore Commissionrate limits continuously for one year, then he/she has to enclose the police verification certificate issued from the jurisdictional Police Commissioner/Superintendent of Police of the respected state along with the application.
** The Private Companies/Corporate Companies/Educational Institutions can approach this office for their employees verification certificates along with the application form, list of employees, requisition letter and fee challan paid at Bangalore One Centre.

(CAUTION TO PUBLIC) :
** Please do not approach agents/agencies who claim to offer to get the police verification done.
** The process of issuing PCC/PVC is done exclusively by Police department only.
** Agencies claiming to do verification/background verification are not acceptable.

Work Flow Chart For PVC

1. Recieve of Application
2. Upload the Application to Police IT
3. Applicants will recieve sms
4. On recieving sm process verification by jurisdiction police station
5. After the verification process jurisdiction police station upload data with their Recommendatory /Not Recommendatory remarks into the Police IT
6. On receipt of the report from jurisdictional police station your PVC/PCC will be printed.
7. As per karnataka gurantee of services to citizens act this wntire above process will be executed in 21 days.

Functions of BCP
