It was difficult for the public to register the complaints. It was equally difficult for the ULBs to track the complaints and hence timely redressal of the complaints was difficult. The Government of Karnataka, as part of its reforms process, introduced the Public Grievance Redressal System in the ULBs of Karnataka.

Objectives :
** To enable citizens to easily register and track their complaints/ suggestions with the ULB
** To enable the ULBs to track the complaints through its lifecycle so as to ensure timely redressal of the complaints.
** To provide multiple access channels – Internet, Phone, Email and Paper Form. For registration of complaints.
** To show trends and pattern on the type and location of problems across the city through pie-charts and GIS reports.
** To Computerized the Grievance and redressal systems.

Approach :
** Establish PGR cells in the ULBs
** Involved NGOs in maintaining the PGR cell 24/7.
** Introduced productivity tools in the form of auto-assignment, complaint-forwarding etc., to improve complaint redressal rates.
** Citizen-friendly reports with GIS.
** Developed Training module and Trained ULB staff.

Expected outputs :
** Faster & systematic redressal of complaints
** Escalation of complaints to higher authorities
** State level monitoring of complaints redressal

Responsive retaining Ready :
There is no option of choosing a vehicula nisl and they are independent and when nothing prevents us, for it is not warm-up is.

About Us :
Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation was constituted in the year 1962 by combining two cities seperated by distance of 20 kms. This was a unique experiment in urban development history. The area of this was 202.3 Sq kms spread over 45 revenue villages.The population of the city as per the 1991 census was 7lakhs. The prsent population is nearly more than 9.43 lakhs. Under the Government of india act of 1850, The Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Council was established on August 15 1855.

Under the government of India act of 1850, The Hubli Municipal Council was established on August 15 1855. Its memebership was fixed at 18 including the president. The collector of the district functioned as President and the memebers were called commissioners. The government nominated all the memebers.

  1. garbage collection vehicle is not arriving at areas atleast in a week.i called to hdmc and control room person way of attending the call is very poor. i received complaint registered number also. but then next day vehicle not arrived. it’s forcing people to throw the garbage at near by empty areas.

    I am currently residing near Sharada colony park,Yelakki Shettar Colony,Dharwad.I am extremely deplored by the state of hygiene in this area.The garbage collectors don’t come to dispose of the waste for days(once a week)and the residents are forced to dump the waste on empty plots and roadside.This makes the area look like a dumpyard.I beseech you to act on this and regularise the waste collection.Thanking you.

  3. I am resident of kheswapur janta colony house no 41. The Garbage collecting vehicle is not been showing up sinces ages and the garbage here has be creating the area into dump yard and is problematic for the people living here I have been try to complaint but I have no way ahead to raise a complaint directly.
    One more complaint for parthenium cleaning is also not at done.
    Please clear above matter

    I have applied for e property on 03.08.2023. So for it is not attended. Every I meet the concerned staff he tells Server not working. Commissioner sab pl look into it and do the needful at an earliest. Thank you.

  5. i am the resident of manikant nagar hebballi road dharwad. from last week garbage collecting vehical is not comming … . peaples are throughing garbage out side kindly take action immidiatly..

  6. I am a resident of daneshwari nagar, Dharwad. Garbage collecting vehicle is not coming since many days. Please take required action.

  7. Residential Street roads they are making their Own big/Highest Speed humps without any restrictions of HDMC authorities which spoiling our vehicles a lot.

  8. I am the resident of New Ward No. 17 beside LIC. QTRS. tollnaka, at our locality 2 chamber covers got damaged, out of 2, 1 is replaced & another 1 yet to replace Complaint No. 37959, we the residents of locality are chasing & making follow-up like anything, everyday giving reminders via Phone call to HDMC control room 0836-2213888 & via what’s app since 10 days, but no use. first of all road is narrow & condition is very pathetic facing very difficulty in terms of walking & driving vehicle on this road especially for senior citizens & elder aged people.

  9. Please note that the WATRER PIPE MAIN LINE HAS BURST OPEN UNDER THE CEMENT ROAD AND THE WATER FLOWS INTO THE GUTTER CONSTATLY WASTING THE POTTABLE WATER. THIS IS IN VIKAS NAGAR, POLICE HQ RD, DHARWAD – 580008, AT AROUND THE VIKAS NAGAR BUS STOP NERA BGS SCHOOL.
    PLEASE ATTEND TO IT IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE WATER.

  11. I am resident of Ward No 21. The Garbage collecting vehicle is not coming since 1 week to Niduvani Layout, Near Water Tank, Y. S. Colony. I made a complaint about this on 27.06.2022. But till date vehicle has not come to pick garbage.
    One more complaint for parthenium cleaning is also not at done.
    Please clear above matter.
