Note :
In case of regular candidates, the application must come through the Head of the Institution from which the candidate appeared at the Examination. In case of private candidate the application should come through the Head of the School from which the candidate appeared at the Examination.

Please Note :
The application must accompany the following,
** An affidavit sworn before a 1st Class Magistrate by the father/guardian of the candidate or the candidate if he/she is not a minor (for both duplicate/triplicate certificate only)
** Police Report with the case diary number (for both duplicate/triplicate certificate only)
** A copy of the insertion in the News Paper for the loss/damage of the certificate.
** For issue of duplicate mark sheets within three months from the date of issue of the original one, the application must accompany the documents stated in (1) and (3).
In the event of partial damage of the certificate/ mark sheet, enclose the remaining portion.

Provisional Recognition :
A school permitted to open class IX shall apply to the Board in the prescribed form (Form No. 2)

Last Date For Submission Of Applications :
Applications in the prescribed form (Form No. 2) for provisional recognition of the school upto class X, along with the prescribed fee of Rs. 5,000/- should reach the office of the Board not later than the 31st August of the year immediately preceding the academic year in which class X is proposed to be started.

Conditions For Provisional Recognition Of High Schools :
a) The school shall follow the rules and regulations and instructions of the Board.

b) Every school, except government schools, shall be managed by a duly constituted Managing Committee where representatives of the teachers and the guardians shall be well represented.

The school should be of non-proprietary character and its constitution is such that it does not vest control in a single individual or members of a family and the aim of the management should be to import quality education to the children and not to earn any profit.

About Us :
The Board of Secondary Education, Manipur was established by an Act of Manipur Legislative Assembly in 1972. By the amendment of the Act in 2004, besides the academic activities, the prescription of conditions for granting recognition of standard I and VIII was also entrusted to the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.

At present 786 high and higher secondary schools (226 Government, 103 Government aided and 457 Private) are affiliated to the Board for certification at end of secondary stage i.e. class X.
