Registration Application :

Registration :
Step 1 :
Every New User of this portal has to create a login to initiate the process of online registration. For creating the login click the REGISTER button and fill a form along with the payment of processing fee either through Bank.

The fee can be paid either by Bank Challan Or Online Payment Gateway.

Step 2 :
** Once all the required documents are arranged, the applicant will have to login by clicking the LOGIN button for filling the Registration form as per the category (e.g., Hotel, Restaurant, Houseboat, Tour & Travel, etc.) chosen.
** After submitting the online registration application form, the applicant will have to choose the date of verification & scanning of documents from the available dates to successfully complete the online registration process. A confirmation email will be sent to the applicant containing the details of the online registration form submitted

Step 3 :
Once the inspection report is approved by the department, an email having the link for paying the Registration fee will be sent to the applicant. The fee can be paid either by BANK CHALLAN or ONLINE PAYMENT GATEWAY.

Renewal :
Step 1 :
Every New User of this portal has to create a login to initiate the process of online renewal. For creating the login click the REGISTER button and fill a form along with the payment of processing fee either through BANK CHALLAN (Download) or ONLINE PAYMENT GATEWAY.

Step 2 :
Once all the required documents are arranged, the applicant will have to login by clicking the LOGIN button for filling the Renewal form as per the category (e.g., Hotel, Restaurant, Houseboat, Tour & Travel, etc.) chosen.

Step 3 :
** Once the inspection report is approved by the department, an email having the link for paying the Renewal fee will be sent to the applicant.
** After receiving the payment, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. The Certificate of Registration/Renewal will be dispatched to the applicant or can be collected personally by the applicant after 7 days from the date of confirmation of email.

Registration of Dealers :
1) Every person intending to carry on business of a dealer under this Act shall before he commences such business apply for registration to the prescribed authority in the prescribed manner.

2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub section (1) any person already carrying on business of selling any notified article in a tourist area on the date such article is notified under clause (j) of section 2 shall apply for registration under this Act within three months from the aforesaid date.

Provided that where before the commencement of Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Act 1982, any person as aforesaid could not apply for registration within the time specified above , he shall so apply for registration within six months after such commencement.

Provided further that where any person as aforesaid has applied for registration within the period of three months from the date of issue of the first notification under clause (j) of section 2 and certificate of registration has been issued to him, such certificate of registration shall continue to be valid notwithstanding the rescission of the said notification but subject to other provisions of section 6 of this Act.

3) Every application made under sub section (1) shall be disposed of within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the application failing which the application shall be deemed to have been accepted for registration.

4. Certificate of registration :
The Prescribed authority shall unless registration is refused under section 5, direct that the name and the particulars of the dealer be entered in the register maintained for purpose and shall issue a certificate of registration to the dealer in the prescribed form within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the application.
