File New Connection :
WCIS enables you to create a new water tap connection record in the system.
Initiating a New Water Tap Connection :

A new water tap connection request can be initiated in any of the following ways :
a) Meeseva counters
b) Citizen Service Centre (CSC)
c) Online request submitted by a citizen
d) ULB operator
Conditions for Creating a New Water Tap Connection :
A new water tap connection is created only when :
e) A Citizen has a property assessment number
f) No Dues in property tax
Documents Required :
If an applicant belongs to the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category, submission of the BPL card along with the applicant’s form is mandatory.
Perform the following steps to create new water charge connection :
1. Open a new connection form by using the following navigation. Left Panel > Applications > Water Charges Management > Transactions > New Water Tap Connection
2. Enter details in the new Water Charges section as described
i. PT Assessment Number :
Specify the Assessment number, which was given to the citizen after clearing the property charges dues.
ii. Water Source Type :
Specify the source for the water connection. You can choose from the following options :
** Ground Water
** Surface Water
iii. Connection Type :
Water charges can be estimated in two ways :
** Meter Reading
** Fixed Water Charges
Select the Connection Type as Metered or Non-metered.
iv. Property Type :
Select Property Type as Non-Residential or Residential depending on the type of property.
v. Category :
Select the Category from the following options :
** BPL
** General
** OYT (Own Your Tap)
vi. Usage Type :
Select the Usage Type from the following list
** Domestic
** Commercial
** Apartment
** Hotel
** Lodges
** Industrial
** Residential
Usage Type helps in understanding how many water tap connections will be required.
vii. H.S.C Pipe Size (Inches) :
Specify the size of pipe required for the water tap connection to estimate donation charges.
viii. Sump Capacity (Litres) :
Specify the Sump Capacity in litres.
ix. No. of Persons :
Specify the number of persons using the water tap connection.
3. Upload the documents provided by the property owner. For more details, refer Uploading Documents on page 14.
4. Once all the details are entered, forward the new connection form to Assistant Engineer.
Workflow for Creating New Connection :
Once the new connection details are entered and forwarded by the Clerk, the following steps are performed. For more details on forwarding, rejecting, or approving, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16.
1. Assistant Engineer approves the details, enters the materials and other requirements needed for the water tap connection, generates estimation notice, and forwards the transaction to Commissioner.
Note : Assistant Engineer can change the application details based on the field verification. Remarks are mandatory in case the details are modified.
2. Commissioner approves the transaction. For more details on approving or rejecting a transaction, refer Workflow Reviews/Approval on page 16.
3. Assistant Engineer, after approval of the transaction, initiates the execution of water tap connection.
