You can search for a water tap connection by filtering through the list of records in the system by using Search Connection.

To search for a water tap connection, perform the following steps :
1. Open Search Connection form, by using the following path Applications > Water Charges Management > Transactions > Search Connection
2. Search for a connection by entering any of the categories and clicking on Search. The Search Result appears.

Collecting Water Charges :
WCIS notifies the concerned officials in Engineering Department about the water charges due. It enables collection of water charges in an organized manner.

Key features include :
** Collecting water charges from the citizens

Collecting Charges by collection Operator :
Perform the following steps :
1. Open Collect Charges form, by using the following path. Applications > Water Charges Management > Transactions > Collect Charges
2. Enter the HSC number.
3. Collect the Water tax charges due from the citizen. Enter the cheque/DD details, if the citizen is paying through cheque/DD.

Monthly Meter Reading :
WCIS calculates the number of units for the current month and the water charges based on the previous month meter reading entered by the Assistant Engineer

Transaction Initiation by Assistant Engineer :
Perform the following steps :
1. Open Meter Reading Entry form by using the following path – Applications > Water Charges Management > Transactions > Enter Meter Entry for Connection
2. Enter the HSC number.
3. Enter Current Month Meter Reading and Current Month Reading Date, and then click Submit

Workflow for Meter Reading :
1. Assistant Engineer enters the meter reading.
2. Collection Operator collects the water charges based on the meter reading of the connection

Water Charges Information system :
Water Charges Information System (WCIS) is a web-based software module that enables municipalities to create and manage water tap connections and collect water charges effectively.

WCIS enables municipalities to :
** Record details of the tap connection
** Generate demand for the water tap connection
** Issue demand notice (integrated with Property tax)
** Collect water charges of the applicant

The WCIS brings in accountability and transparency in the decision making process of the revenue department of a municipal corporation.

It provides comprehensive information about water charges such as :
