Objective of Maniram Dewan Trade Centre
The Government of Assam took up an initiative to set up a Trade Centre in Guwahati and accordingly allotted 10 acres of land at Betkuchi, Guwahati. The Industry and Commerce Department in association with India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) developed the project ” Maniram Dewan Trade Centre” with an investment of Rs. 20.38 Crores.
The said trade centre was inaugurated on 19th February, 2009 by the then Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri. Kamal Nath. The basic objective of the Trade Centre is to organize trade fairs and exhibitions and invite wider participation in export promotion activities.
Facilities of Maniram Dewan Trade Centre
Following are the facilities created at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, viz :
** Three Air conditioned large Exhibition Halls of 10000 sq ft each
** One 20 seater Air conditioned conference room
** One 100 seater Air conditioned Convention room
** One 300 seater Air Conditioned Convention Hall ( under renovation)
** 130000 sq ft open space
** Exhibition Organizer’s room
** Spacious reception lobby at the ground and mezzanine floor
** Specious air-conditioned central lobby at the ground and mezzanine floor.
** Service lobby at the ground and mezzanine floor with special VIP room.
** Amphitheatre
** 400 + seater conference hall ( under construction)
