AGHP Get GPF Information

** Series Code -Select your Series Code from List. e.g. in HGA2345, HGA is Series Code
** GPF Number-Enter your GPF Account Number (Numeric Part only e.g. 2345)

**A subscriber can nominate one or more persons conferring the right to received his/her GPF amount in the event of his/her death

GPF Guidelines

** The GPF Rules are applicable to those employees of H.P. State Govt. who joined service before 15-5-2003.
** As soon as a Govt. servant is admitted to a Provident Fund, the Provident Fund Account number allotted to him/her should be entered on the right hand top of Page-I of his/her Service Book by means of a rubber stamp.
** A subscriber can subscribe towards GPF a sum (in whole rupees) as fixed by him/her, subject to minimum 6% of emoluments and not more than his/her total emoluments (i.e. Basic Pay+ D.P. + D.A.).
** Subscription can be increased twice and/or reduced once at any time during the year.
** Subscription to the fund shall be stopped during suspension, and at the option of the govt. servant during leave on half pay, leave without pay and dies non. Proportionate subscription to be recovered for the period of duty and any leave other than H.P.L./ E.O.L.
** If the subscriber is retiring on superannuation, his/her subscriptions must be stopped towards GPF three months before his/her superannuation.
** If more than one person is nominated, the amount or share payable to each nominee should be indicated clearly. A subscriber may at any time cancel a nomination by due notice and send a fresh nomination.
** A subscriber having a family can nominate only member/members of his/her family which includes wife/wives except judicially separate wife, husband ( unless expressly excluded), parents, paternal grandparent when no parent

Pension Guidelines

** Maintain service Book of the govt. servant properly chronologically with all noting of fixation of pay, promotion, scale of pay, post held, leave, suspension, reinstatement, extension, superannuation etc.
** Process pension cases 2 (two) years before the date of superannuation of the govt. servant.
** Regulation of pay, i.e. in case of promotion, revision of pay, etc. may be re- checked further before sending the case to the office of the A.G. (A&E) Shimla H.P.
** Verification of service should be checked further from the date of joining in service up to the date of superannuation, retirement or death as the case may be.
** L.P .C. should be forwarded to the office of the A.G.(A&E) immediately after retirement of the govt. servant.
** Form-7 and Form-18 should be enclosed with the pension papers after obtaining the approval of the Head of the office.

Reasons For Returning Pension/Family Pension Case :
** Case received without Service Book.
** Wrong Pay-fixation/ non-recording of pay entries in the Service Book for a long period
** Non-qualifying period not shown as non-qualifying in the Service Book
** Form-7 in retirement cases and Form-18 in Death during service either incomplete or not signed by the pension sanctioning authority.

Benefits of GPF

The benefits of GPF are as follows:
** The employee’s contribution to the GPF is tax-deductible under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
** The employer’s contribution to the GPF is also tax-deductible under Section 36(1)(va) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
** The GPF earns interest at a rate of 8.5% per annum.
** The GPF can be withdrawn after 15 years of continuous service.
** The GPF can be used to purchase a house or a flat.
** The GPF can be used to pay for the education of the employee’s children.
** The GPF can be used to meet the medical expenses of the employee and his/her family.

    Whether interim relief@5% recently declared by hp govt is to be taken into account while calculating for payment of leave encasement case.

  3. I have retired on 29,2,2016. My ppo no is 1116134877. My pension case was sent to aghp Shimla for commutation. But my pension has not been commuted yet. Form no. 1 was resent twice to aghp. Please send my pension and commuted amount.

    1. I retired in Nov.2002 from IFS,HP Cadre. My ppo no is 60065/HP. As per GOI order,in pursuance of apex court direction, my pension was to be re -fixed, at Rs.24295,w.e.f.1/1/2006 instead of Rs.231509(being paid at present), for which reference was made by PCCF,HP vide Ft.378-3/2006(E-1) dt.2/8/2016,but no action has been taken so far. Request kindly issue revised pension at the earliest. Thanks

  6. If someone take vrs after 29 years of service what is the % of pension?

    1. Maintain service Book of the govt. servant properly chronologically with all noting of fixation of pay, promotion, scale of pay, post held, leave, suspension, reinstatement, extension, superannuation etc. under proper attestation along with any other non-qualifying service. Where entries have been revised (Pay etc.) the previous entries should be cancelled and revised entries recorded by giving a note of it on the previous entries..
