How to apply for Learner Licence Goa?

Application for Learner Licence :
An application for the grant or renewal of a learner’s licence shall be made in Form 2 and shall be accompanied by-
** a medical certificate in [Form 1-A]
** Proof of age
** Proof of Residence
** Three copies of the applicant’s recent [passport size photograph],
** Appropriate fee
** In the case of an application for [transport vehicle], the driving licence held by the applicant.
** Consent of parent or guardian, in the case of application by minor.-In the case of an application for a learner’s licence to drive a motor cycle without gear by an applicant the application shall be signed by the parent or guardian of the applicant.

Preliminary test
Eevery applicant for a learner’s licence shall present himself before the licensing authority on such date, place and time, as the licensing authority may appoint, for a test and satisfy such authority that the applicant possesses adequate knowledge and understanding of the following matters, namely :
** the traffic signs, traffic signals and the rules of the road regulations made under section 118;
** the duties of the driver when his vehicles is involved in an accident resulting in the death or bodily injury to a person or damages to property of a third party;
** the precautions to be taken while passing an unmanned railway crossing ; and
** the documents he should carry with him while driving a motor vehicle.
After scrutiny of documents, the applicant would be required to take the driving test, for which he would bring his vehicle along. The applicant will be tested for his driving skills, familiarisation with the vehicle, traffic rules & regulations and can also be asked about the vehicle system and safety.

Electoral Roll/Life Insurance Policy/Passport/Pay slip issued by any office of the central government/ State Government or a local body/any other document or documents as may be prescribed by the state state government/affidavit sworn before an executive Magistrate or a first class judical Magistrate or a notary Public to be enclose

Date of birth Proof :Birth certificate/ school certificate/ affidavit sworn before an executive magistrate of first class judical magistrate or a Notary Public to be enclosed

Parents Consent : The written consent of parent guardian (in the case of applicant being a minor)

Medical Certificate : Medical Certificate issued by qualified doctor needs to be enclosed.

Photos : One Passport photo size to be uploaded as attachment.
