Public can enquire about the recovery of their stolen vehicle or can enquire if the vehicle is stolen anywhere in the country

Steps For Vehicle Enquiry
Step-1 : Go to the link http://164.100.44.112/vahansamanvay/Internetquery.aspx
Step-2 : Select “Type of search”
Step-3 : Enter Name, City, Pin Code, Mobile Number and Email ID
Step-4 : Select Vehicle Type and Vehicle Make
Step-5 : Enter Registration, Chasis, Engine, Year of Manufacture
Step-6 : Select Color and Search
Note:
Search Logic. All the red coloured Fields are mandatory. This will search for (Vehicle Type/Registration/Chasis/Engine/Make if given). Out of the above parameters it will match for Vehicle Type and any two parameters from Registration/Chasis/Engine with partial Nos. For last 5 digits. If only one parameter is matched out of Registration/Chasis/Engine it will not give the result. It requires atleast two parameters to be matched to locate fora vehicle

Q. What is Vehicle recovery status of stolen vehicle?
A. With this option you can know whether your stolen vehicle is recovered somewhere in the country. If you find a matched details you can approach the concerned Police Station where it has been recovered and restore it.
Q. What is Verify status of 2ndhand vehicle(stolen or not)?
A. If you want to buy a 2ndhand vehicle you can know that the vehicle you are intend to buy is not a stolen vehicle. If you find a matched details you can stay away from buying that vehicle.
Q. What is the advantage of giving personal details in the form?
A. If proper personal details are entered NCRB will be able to approach you in case of any need.
Q. Is it necessary to enter all the details asked for?
A. Except for the Red coloured item all others are optional one. Out of the three parameters of Registration No, Chasis No, Engine No any two of them can be entered.

Q. If My Vehicle is Stolen and I don’t find the stolen records of my vehicle on the Vahan Samanvay site then what should I do?
A. Please approach concerned Police Station or district and request them to update your vehicle details in Vahan Samanvay.
