Students can apply for Student Pass for the Academic year 2021-22 in Seva Sindhu portal, BMTC website and BangaloreOne Counters.

As per the directions of the Government of Karnataka Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is issuing student passes at a concessional rate /free from the date of its formation for the benefit of students community.The online applications for Degree/ professional/ technical/ medical/ evening college students can apply for student pass through online.

Student Pass FAQs

1. How to apply for pass online student pass (smartcard)?
Visit https://mybmtc.karnataka.gov.in for online application. Click on “online student pass application”. Once the main page gets navigated to Student Pass page, kindly click on “Up to 10th(or)CBSE/ICSE (or)PUC (or)Degree/Professional/Technical/Medical (or)Special schools”.

2. What is SATS number in the application (Up to 10thSTD and PUC Students pass application)?
** SATS number is a “Student Achievement Track System” number which is unique for all the students up to 10th standard (for the students of state syllabus schools).
** PUC students can also use their SATS (10th std) number.

3.What is enrollment number in the student pass application (PUC Students)?
Student Enrollment number is provided by the PU board and the number is unique for all the PUC students.

4. How to apply for student pass for PUC students who does’t have SATS/ PU enrollment number?
Students enrolled to PUC from CBSE/ ICSE stream may not have SATS/ PU enrollment number. They can apply for the student pass using their admission number.

5.What is admission number in the pass application (PUC/ CBSE/ ICSE/ Degree/ Technical/ Medical/ Proffessional/ Others/ Evening/ Ph.D)?
Student Admission number is the number provided to the students by their institutions at the time of admission. (Ex- 12345/202-22)

6. Institution name is not showing in the dropdown?
Ask your college administration to contact BMTC and register the college name.

7. Which mobile number/Email-ID to be mentioned in the application?
** This mobile number/Email ID will receive the OTP which has to be entered in the application.
** Any communication in respect to the student pass shall be sent to the mobile number/Email ID which is entered in the application.

8. Entering mobile number and Email-ID in the application is mandatory?
Entering Mobile number is mandatory and the Email-ID is optional.

9. In case of SC/ST students, what is RD number?
The number in the caste certificate, which start with the letters “RD”

10. What needs to enter in the fields like “from stop” and “to stop”?
These two fields are mandatory where “From Stop” should be the “origin” and “To Stop” should be the “Destination”.

11. What needs to enter in the fields like “Via 1” and “Via 2”?
These are optional fields, where via places should be in between Origin and Destination. These places can be used as your travel change over junction.

12. How to upload Applicant Photo and School/College Fee Receipt (other than up to 10th standard students)?
** Upload the student’s passport size photo in JPEG/ JPG/ PNG file and it should be less than 01 MB in size.
** School fee receipt should be uploaded.

13. Where do I get the OTP to enter in the application?
After filling the required fields in the application, you have to click on “Send OTP” at the end of the application (see that, all the required fields are filed before clicking on send OTP), OTP will be sent to the mobile number and the email ID mentioned in the application.

14. After applying for the student pass, what is the next process (Other than up to 10thStd state syllabus students)?
Check the status of your application. If the application is yet to be approved, then contact the nodal officer of your college for the approval of the student pass application.

15. How to check the status of the student pass?
At the end of the web page, there is a vertical called “Know your application status”, enter your application number and click on “search”.

16. What is schedule/Reschedule appointment in the webpage?
** Students must schedule an appointment on feasible day & time to get the pass from BMTC counters.
** After scheduling their appointment, if the student couldn’t come down to the BMTC counters, he can reschedule his appointment for 02 more times
