Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPMKVVCL) was incorporated as a wholly owned Government Company on 31st May 2002, under the Companies Act 1956, the same has been notified vide order No.5555/RS/4/13/2001 dated 1st July, 2002 of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Terms & Conditions

1. Application is not transferable.

2. Application shall be in the name of owner of the Premise i.e. in the name of customer printed on electricity bill.

3. Applicant should be the owner of Premise or an authorized person of the owner. If the Premise is in the name of a company, trust, Co-operatives or partnership firms, then authorization shall be assigned to a person for correspondence, paper works and execution of various agreements etc.

4. For application/ registration, non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000 can be paid through Net banking/ Credit card/ Debit card.

5. Applicant can apply by entering valid IVRS or Customer ID printed on electricity bill.

6. For application, following documents are mandatory. Scan copy of documents must be uploaded with application form. Scanned copy of documents must be in JPEG/pdf format and size must be less then 2.0 MB:

a. If application is not submitted by owner of Premise, proof of authorization from owner/ organization towards person submitting application (Letter of Authorization/ Board resolution/ Agreement/ Power of Attorney etc.);

b. Single Line Diagram (SLD) of solar PV installation.

7. In the application form, customer/ applicant has to select the registered vendor/ contractor name from the list provided therein OR mention the full name of vendor/ contractor as per its registration documents.

8. Premise must have easy access for inspection, metering and other necessary checks/ works.

9. Discom shall not be held responsible for any legal disputes between owner of Premise and renewable energy system installer (RESCo/ Capex/ Others) arising out of the contract.

10. Proposed system capacity of the renewable energy system shall be in line with the provisions of the MPERC (Grid Connected Net Metering) Regulation, 2015, as amended read with Madhya Pradesh Electricity Supply Code 2013, as amended, for permitting consumer connection.

11. After installation of renewable energy system, officer of discom or Chief Electrical Inspector to Government of Madhya Pradesh would inspect the renewable energy system as per prevalent norms. They shall certify whether or not the installation meets necessary safety standards.

12. At all times during installation and operation of the renewable energy system, installer and owner of Premise shall be responsible to ensure that system adhere to electrical safety norms, as prescribed by MPERC/ CEA/ CERC or competent officers of Discom/ Govt. of MP, from time to time.

13. Grid connected renewable energy systems installed under net metering arrangement shall regulated as per MPERC (Grid Connected Net Metering) Regulations, 2015, as amended from time to time or MPERC orders from time to time. Subject to the said regulations and orders, a grid connected net metered system:

a. shall be installed with primary purpose to off-set a part or all of consumer’s own electrical requirement;
b. can be self-owned or third party owned;
c. shall be permissible to a consumer with individual rated capacity up to 1 MW at HT;
d. shall be installed in consumer premises or common facility area, in case of multi storied buildings;
e. shall be interconnected with distribution licensee network and operated safely in conformity with relevant standards and regulations.
