Periyar Tiger Reserve Booking/ Reservation Policy

** In normal course all bookings are to be made in Online mode, only through the website www.periyartigereserve.org.
** PTCF or Periyar Tiger Conservation Foundation (PTCF) does NOT operate any other online booking website and we take NO responsibility for losses suffered by guests who made bookings through any other website or travel agent.
** Payments have to be made in-full at the time of booking.
** Booking/Reservations are Non-Transferable.
** Rescheduling and Cancellations will be allowed only as per our Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy.
** Check-in time and Check-out Times are mentioned in the program scheduled of each program and shall be strictly adhered to.
** Activities included in the programs are subject to the terms and conditions of each Program.
** During check-in, all guests who are Foreign Nationals are required to present their Original Passports with valid Visas. Details of Foreign Nationals availing our services shall be shared with Police authorities as required by law.
** Payment Gateway charges, Check-post entry charges, Taxes and Cess (as applicable by legislation) will be levied from the guests, the amount of the same will be displayed during online booking.

Periyar Tiger Reserve Rescheduling/ Cancellation Policy

** In case we are forced to cancel OR modify your Booking/Reservation due to natural calamities, acts of god, civil unrest, war, diseases, health risk, epidemics, Left Wing Extremism OR Terrorist activities OR its consequences, Government ordered lockdowns OR travel restrictions declared by the Government, Government Restriction on Tourism Activities in the Reserve and other unforeseeable events beyond our control, it will NOT be treated as a cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve.
** In this case, you could choose to shift over to a mutually agreed new date at no extra cost OR avail a refund with minimum cancellation charges (lowest slab will apply).
** We reserve the right to cancel or modify Bookings/Reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent OR unlawful activity OR has knowingly furnished incorrect information OR under other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains OR has resulted from a mistake or error.
** We reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings under unforeseen circumstances within our control where we need to close down the facility for repairs or for catering to VIP visits.
** Under such circumstances, it shall be treated as Cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve and the guest shall be refunded in full.
** Cancellation Requests shall be entertained ONLY through our website.
** In case the guest fails to show up for Booking/Reservations, no refund or rescheduling will be applicable. No further communication regarding this shall be entertained or replied to.
** Bookings/Reservations once made cannot be modified or cancelled partially.
** Any refund will take at least 20 days to process, subject to approval of the same.
** Payment Gateway processing charges will not be refunded.
** Guests can cancel their bookings Online and the following cancellation charges will be levied.

1. Why park entry fee is not included in the charges of eco-tourism programmes?
Entry fee is collected for valid entry into the park vide GO. The other programmes are generally run by local community i.e., Eco Development Committees and their ticketing and accounting are separate. So park entry fee is not included in the charges of eco-tourism programmes

2. Why the park management is not doing a bamboo rafting programme without trekking?
The starting point of the bamboo rafting programme is away from the road accessibility. This makes trekking absolutely necessary for reaching the starting point of rafting. 4. Why children below 12 years of age cannot participate in some eco-tourism programmes?
Eco tourism programmes, which have got trekking as a part, involve certain degree of risk. Hence these programmes are not advisable for children below 12 years.

5. Why entrance tickets are issued when boat tickets are not available?
Entrance ticket is meant for the valid entry for any visitor into the park for the time between 6 Am – 5 Pm. The boat tickets are having limited seats and run on stipulated timings and trips. Hence entry ticket won’t ensure boat tickets to all the visitors. It is a choice of the visitor whether he/she would still wish to enter into the park up to boat landing with or without availing boat tickets.

Whenever boat tickets are completely sold out the information will be displayed at Entrance check post. Sometime the balance tickets may also sell out during the time lapse between the entry into the park and reaching boat landing during peak season and peak time.
