RNI Annual Statement Submission

Submission of Annual Statement in Form II is mandatory under the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867 and Registration of Newspaper Central Rules 1956 for each registered publications (newspapers/periodicals) on or before 31st May of every Year.

Non submission of Annual Statement may not only attract fine under the PRB Act, 1867 but will not be included by DAVP in its panel for granting advertisements also.

Please Note :
** From last year only e-filled Annual Statement are being accepted by RNI.
** For e-filing Annual Statement for 2014-15, Publishers are required to register afresh and obtain fresh IPIN number. Last year generated IPIN is not valid for this year.
** No Hard copy is required to be submitted from this year in the office of RNI.

Steps For e-filing

Step – I :
Register your publication afresh in “rniefiling.gov.in” to get IPIN number.

Step – II :
Take out the print of C.A. certificate form by Clicking here . Please fill the downloaded form and keep ready the scanned copy of certificate duly signed by publisher and C.A. while login for e-filing of annual statement.

Step – III :
In case where CA Certificate is not applicable, take out the print of Publisher’s Declaration by Clicking here Please fill the downloaded form and keep ready the scanned copy duly signed by publisher while login for e-filing of annual statement.

Step – IV :
Login for e-filing of annual statement “From II” and “Annexure X” (in case of daily publications) by using registration number of the publication, password and IPIN.

Step – V :
Take out the print of e-filed annual statement and keep it as receipt for future reference. .

** E-filing will facilitate registered publishers to file their Annual Statement (Form-II) and Daily Press (Annexure-X) on-line through RNI e-filing website.
** E-filing offers speed, security and accuracy.
** E-filing is easy, as you need to fill in few columns in the Form II. Rest to the fields will be auto filled from RNI database of registration details.
** If any information regarding registration details is not updated contact RNI officer to get it updated.
