What is TBOCWWB Maternity Benefit Scheme?

The Scheme for Maternity Benefit was launched by the Tripura Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, under the Labour Department of Tripura. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to registered female construction workers or the wife of a male registered construction worker after delivery or in case of miscarriage, with a maximum of two claims per lifetime for each beneficiary.

Benefits of TBOCWWB Maternity Benefit Scheme

(a)A financial assistance of Rs.8000/- (Eight thousand) only will be granted to the female registered construction workers after delivery and to the wife of a male registered construction worker for a maximum of twice in lifetime. Medical certificates of a registered Medical Practitioner shall be submitted along with the application.

(b) Maternity benefit is to be extended in case of miscarriage (maximum two times) of a female registered construction workers or wife of registered construction workers. The rate of grant shall be Rs. 4000/-(Four thousand) only admissible.

(c) Maternity leave with pay of maximum 3 months shall be provided to the female registered construction worker who has been working as construction workers for not less than One year as per unskilled minimum rate of wages for the building and other construction workers notified by the Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura.

Eligibility of TBOCWWB Maternity Benefit Scheme

(d) The concern Labour Inspector shall submit detailed field verification report of the applicant with the status of the job rule and compare the attendance register, wages register maintained by the employer. On the final certification of the concern Labour Inspector maternity leave with pay shall be provided.

How To Apply For TBOCWWB Maternity Benefit Scheme?

The registered beneficiary will apply in prescribed form through electronically. The concerned Labour Inspector will process and verify the application and Labour Officer will review and approved the application

Steps:
Step-1: The applicant should gather copies of the necessary documents needed to apply for the concerned scheme.
Step-2: The applicant should visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) and complete the Biometric Verification Process.
Step-3: The applicant should ensure that the CSC agent completes all mandatory fields in the application form and uploads copies of all required documents.
Step-4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
