What is TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit?

The “Disability Benefit Who Met With an Accident at Worksite” was launched by the Tripura Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department Tripura. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the registered construction workers who met with an accident at worksite. Under this scheme a registered construction worker who becomes disabled due to an accident at a worksite gets a disability benefit temporary or permanent.

Who Can Apply For TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit?

a. He / She shall be registered construction worker at time of worksite accident.
b. A registered construction worker who becomes disabled due to any accident at worksite shall be eligible for disablement benefit Such disablement may be either temporary or permanent.

Benefits of TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit

Amount of the Grant/Assistance/Pension:-
Temporary disablement:
a. The benefit at 50% of minimum rate of wages notified for unskilled building and other construction workers by the Labour Department Govt. of Tripura paid to registered construction worker who met with an accident at worksite leading to temporary loss earning ability for minimum of one month.
b. This benefit shall be given for maximum 3 months with production of medical reports to Board.
c. Claim for temporary disablement shall be within two months
d. The application in prescribed form should be submitted along with medical reports certified by the ESI Doctor/any doctor appointed by board along with proof for intimation of notice of accident.

Permanent Disablement:
a. The benefit is paid to registered construction worker met with an accident at worksite leading to complete loss earning ability due to permanent disablement.
b. The assistance shall be given of Rs.3000/month having any type of disability % exceed 90% leading to complete loss of earning ability.
c. TBOCWW Board shall decide on case by case, based on the determination of medical Board about extent of beneficiary’s loss of earning capacity and Disability certificates issued by the competent authority and field verification report.
d. The Permanent disability benefit shall be continued till he completes 60 years and after he will be eligible automatically to draw a Pension from the TBOCWW Board.
e. The application in prescribed form should be submitted along with disablement certificate from the competent authority and recommendation of medical board within 90 days from the date of certification for Permanent disability.
g. The disability benefit shall be paid directly to the Bank account of the beneficiary.
h. Survival Certificate should be submitted as per the rule to continue the permanent disability benefit
h. No application for disability benefit shall be rejected unless the applicant has been given an opportunity of being heard.
f. Beneficiary drawing permanent disability benefit shall submit medical board recommendation and certificate of disability to TBOCWWB for continuation of the benefit after completion every 5 years, as there is chance of improvement in disability due to Advanced medically interventions.

How To Apply For TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit?

To apply for TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit, Follow the below steps

Step 1: The applicant should gather copies of the necessary documents needed to apply for the concerned scheme.
Step 2: The applicant should visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) and complete the Biometric Verification Process.
Step 3: The applicant should ensure that the CSC agent completes all mandatory fields in the application form and uploads copies of all required documents.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

Documents Required For TBOCWWB Accident Disability Benefit

1) Medical Board Recommendation for Permanent Disability benefit and
2) Certified medical report for Temporary Disability benefit
3) Disablement certificate from the competent authority (Permanent).
4) Photo copy of disabled beneficiary.
5) Photo copy of BOCW card.
6) Age proof
7) Self under taking
8) Photo copy of the Bank passbook of the registered worker.
9) Ration card
10) Any other documents as and when required.
