West Bengal Factory Registration

Guidelines for Online form submission for Registration & Licensing. :
New factory registration & Licence :
Go to Home Page-> Click on “Register” button -> Registration as a new user -> After registration user have to login by clicking “login” button from the home page by giving respective username and password -> After login user have to fill up and submit the Form-1 (no need for less than 10 workers)> After submission of Form-1, user have to submit some mandatory documents and user can get printout of acknowledgement slip of Form-1 ->

Go to Licence Fees menu-> Click on “Calculate Licence Fee Now”-> Calculate your Fees-> Get a print of TR-7 Challan copy -> After deposit money to bank, Go to Home Page > Click On “Application” under New Licences Menu group > Fill up and submit the Form-2, user have to submit some mandatory documents and get acknowledgement slip for Form-2.

Renewal of factory Licence :
Go to Home Page-> Click on login button -> After registration user have to login by clicking login button from the home page by giving respective username and password -> Go to Licence Fees menu-> Click on “Calculate Licence Fee Now”-> Calculate your Fees-> Get a print of TR-7 Challan copy -> After deposit money to bank, Go to Home Page > Click On “Application” under Renewal of Licences Menu group > Fill up and submit the Form-2, user have to submit some mandatory documents and get acknowledgement slip for Form-2.

Mandatory documents to be submitted in time of submission of Form-2 :
1) T.R-7 challan.
2) Trade Licence.
3) Land Deed/Lease Deed/Rent Receipt of the premises.
4) Partnership Deed/Memorandum & Article of Association.
5) Consent to establish of West Bengal Pollution Control Board.
6) Declaration regarding date of start of manufacturing activities by the Occupier & the number of workers on the starting date.
7) List of Machineries with H.P.
* All Documents maximum size should be 2 MB and scanned copies should be either jpeg, pdf or gif format

Licence Fee :
The amount of licence fee is dependent upon the two variables i.e. maximum number of workers employed, amount of power installed. Therefore, you are required to provide information on two parameters year wise.

Note :
a) Notification to applicant will be sent to his Email. Hence request to provide email address and mobile number.
b) Take print copy of application form after submitting.

FAQ On West Bengal Factory Registration

Whether any declaration necessary for online applications?
Yes. Following declaration are necessary for registration of the factory and grant of licence
a. Date of starting of manufacturing process (exact date) along with no. of workers on that date.

b. Date on which more than nine workers were employed for the first time, along,with number of worker
c. List of machineries along with HP/KW.

What is the procedure for amendment of licence online?
** Enter your last submitted Form No.2 and change the manpower/horse power or both. Pay the revised fees plus amendment fees Rs. 50.

** Submit revised Form No.2 online and send one hard copy of Form No.2, original GRIPS payment receipt and report generated by computer to Inspector of factories to his office.

What is the procedure for transfer of licence online?
** Amend your last submitted Form No.2 and change the name of the occupier and re- submit along with documents.
** Submit fees Rs.50 online through GRIPS. Form 2 and receipt in original to be submitted to area I.F along with computer receipt.
